Here in the Lowcountry, we’re facing a new wave of fossil fuel and data center buildout. Our utilities are planning a massive new gas plant on the Edisto River with a new interstate pipeline through our beautiful ACE Basin.
We’re part of the movement to stop it – and as part of that movement building we’re putting on a protest concert, called Songs to Save the Edisto.
We would love to have you join us in raising music and hell for the land and lives of the Lowcountry.
ABOUT
This over $5 billion gas megaproject would emit a massive amount of greenhouse gas emissions, putting SC climate goals at risk. It would harm local communities with hazardous air pollutants. The new interstate pipeline would impact communities, wetlands, rivers, and forests across the Southeast, threatening the watersheds of the Lowcountry.
We as Dominion ratepayers oppose the gas project and demand Dominion Energy pursue proven alternatives such as solar and battery storage facilities for addressing SC energy needs.
SIGN THE PETITION
CCC is a nonprofit grassroots group of Lowcountry citizens fighting for Charleston to lead globally in climate action. We bring together activists, experts, and artists to campaign for and implement local and equitable solutions to the climate crisis like green buildings, public transportation, walk/bike infrastructure, protected wetlands, urban green infrastructure, composting, clean energy, and more.
The M.A.R.S.H. Project
TMP is a grassroots and community-based program working to create the first urban ecological corridor in the Southeast. We advocate for the marsh, and for reclaiming Charleston’s natural heritage through volunteerism and unique programming – cleaning up debris, planting native plant species, citizen-science monitoring, art programs, and community and educational outreach.
Microdose Cooperative
MDC is a space for the community. We are ever-evolving and focus on hosting multi-genre events that are meaningful to us. from poetry expositions to house shows to galleries, we strive to amplify local creatives and connect our neighbors. Our co-operative is made up of scientists, bartenders, musicians, designers, and dreamers.
Between us we’ve put on eco-award shows, talks, screenings, parties, parades, art shows – all sorts of creative activations for our causes.
